JOB TITLE:  Associate Brand Manager

REPORTS TO:  Chief Marketing Officer

COMPANY CONTEXT: At Tillamook Country Smoker (TCS), we’re passionate about creating innovative, high-quality meat snacks to fuel consumers throughout their busy lives.  Founded in 1975, we’ve grown to become the nation’s fastest growing meat snacks company and are looking for an Associate Brand Manager to help continue to drive our innovation and growth.   

This position will be responsible for identifying powerful consumer insights to unlock growth including identifying whitespace opportunities, developing new product concept ideas and developing impactful communications and programs to drive growth of our current and future product lines. We are seeking someone who is passionate about making change and who has the right balance between creative thinking and analytics. Our company operates with speed and rapid growth, so we need a candidate who will think outside of the box and find ways around obstacles. We are looking for applicants who are passionate about consumers, communication, analysis, package design and product development. An Associate Brand Manager gains broad exposure to all functional activities including Consumer Insights, New Product Innovation, Sales, Operations, Customer Service, and Finance, which results in strengthened marketing fundamentals and a holistic approach to driving business growth.

    • -Develop/Manage marketing initiatives that bring our brand to life across all consumer touch points (Social/Digital, online, offline, and more!)
    • -Initiate and manage branded packaging graphics and structure projects, including ownership of packaging review and approval process utilizing internal and agency resources
    • -Lead commercialization of product and packaging renovation and innovation projects
    • -Project manage cross-functional efforts across marketing, sales, operations, and finance toward successful completion of project and business objectives from concept to completion with a high level of attention to detail and timeline
    • -Prepare and create engaging, meaningful and persuasive presentations
    • -Implement the brand’s social, paid digital, Amazon, email and website campaign strategies
    • -Develop agency briefs and project timelines to execute digital and shopper marketing plans in support of brand strategies
    • -Interface with, provide input to, and establish strong working relationships with agencies and vendors
    • -Utilize syndicated and other sources of data to develop expertise on the product, category, consumer, customers and competitive set
    • -Identify consumer trends to be leveraged in new products and line extensions
    • -Participate in building methodology and evaluating results from key research projects
    • -Maintain general awareness of key financial measures and business performance
    • -Manage project and department budgets including tracking of estimates and invoices and reconciling actual expenses
    • -Assist in the planning, coordination and execution of other marketing plans and activities including trade shows



        • -Bachelor's degree
        • -2-3 years of relevant Consumer Packaged Goods experience and understanding of marketing including product, positioning, pricing, promotions, and market research
        • -Proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently, solve problems, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment with changing deadlines and priorities
        • -Outstanding organization skills to ensure tight deadlines are met both internally and externally
        • -Strong written, verbal and presentation skills are essential
        • -Must be able to think creatively to develop marketing ideas that resonate with consumers
        • -Highly developed quantitative, analytic and problem-solving skills and ability to translate data into meaningful insights and action
        • -Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment
        • -In depth knowledge of Microsoft PC applications, specifically Word, PowerPoint, Excel
        • -Adobe Illustrator,, syndicated data (IRI/Nielsen) and Shopify experience a plus
